It’s fantastic. I am planning and have already warned the wife I will be spending a few hundred on Blantons Gold  when we go out of the country next month since it’s not available in the US. Next time you go to the liquor store ask for something distilled by Buffalo Trace. I have a handle I bought for $15 and a 750 worth nearly $150 on the secondary both from there and they are both equally amazing.

Just like the Japanese whiskeys, it used to be crap and has since completely revitalized itself. They got a new master distiller and it’s worth a try.

Cool. I ask because my sister and her husband are visiting next week and he specifically asked for it. I guess I’ll have to try and hunt some down. It hasn’t been an easy task.

Buffalo Trace Bourbon is $23 and good. Eagle Rare is the bet you can buy for a decent price at $34. Get that and be a hero.

I think those prices are flipped near me. Eagle Rare is almost always cheaper than Buffalo Trace. Not that i’m complaining. Both are staples in my cabinate. Those and Willett when I can get it

Blanton’s is a little over-rated in my opinion. It’s good and it’s worth a try but it’s not amazing, IMO. Tasting note though, if you’re not a huge fan of it after the first sip, try adding one blackberry. It’s super subtle but it really rounds out the flavor much better.

My local liquor store just started carrying Four Roses, and it’s on my list of bourbon’s to try. I’ll keep it in mind.

I have the special reserve I bootlegged back from IL. Even that involved a favor from a family friend as the store only gets a few and all are spoken for ahead of time. They never make it to the shelf

We have a problem with that too. I have a full SR, a half full SR, and I’ve killed one and then an Antique 107 but that 12 is the next goal.
